Virtual weigh station

January 01, 1970

An IRD Virtual Weigh Station is a flexible, economically viable alternative to traditional Weigh Stations which automatically measures vehicle weights and dimensions and transmits real-time data over a network connection for display to authorized users at any location. IRD Virtual Weigh Stations have been installed on all types of roadways and highways as a cost effective method to broaden the area of weight enforcement. The states of Alaska, California, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Pennsylvania and Idaho all currently use IRD Virtual Weigh Stations as part of their vehicle weight enforcement program.
