The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has awarded a contract to Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) for program management services in support of the agency’s land use, long-range planning, project planning and programming, project streamlining and related transportation planning and programming activities.
Under the work-order contract, PB will provide PennDOT with a variety of professional services related to internal and external planning, policy and program development, and project support.
The five-year contract is the second given to PB by PennDOT. Nearly two-dozen projects were undertaken under the previous agreement. These included assistance with implementation of “smart transportation” initiatives; preparation of model access management and noise ordinances; development of environmental justice guidelines for use by PennDOT’s metropolitan planning organization, municipal and county planning partners; preparation of the department’s annual statewide long-range transportation plan; and assistance with ongoing activities of the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Bank.
