Genie Industries of Redmond, Wash., has added another edition to its family of articulating booms. The Z-135/70 (Circle 918) offers a large working envelope, providing a maximum working height of 141 ft, horizontal outreach of 69 ft 9 in. and up-and-over clearance of 75 ft 6 in. The Z-135/70 features Genie’s new patent-pending X-Chassis axle configuration, which has revolutionized the mechanism for extending and retracting axles. Each axel pivots from vertical mounting pins, providing easy and reliable machine setup. The distinctive new Jib-eXtend jib provides exceptional access by extending the platform from a stowed length of 12 ft to a fully extended length of 20 ft and provides access to “up, over and in” applications. Key standard features include full traction four-wheel-drive, foam-filled tires, a four-wheel steer system with four steering modes, full onboard diagnostics and fully proportional joystick controls with simultaneous multifunction operation. The Z-135/70 features a large working envelope, an 8-ft self-leveling steel platform and a 360° continuous turntable rotation.
