Its owner and president Ernie Kaplan started and built Kaplan Trucking & Paving to one of the must respected names in the paving industry, after 28 years in business Kaplan sold the company to pursue other interest. Kaplan was the first StreetPrint applicator in the United States and with his tenacity to make the job easier and faster he developed many of the process still in use today. During his tenure at Kaplan Trucking & Paving he designed and built much of his own equipment that has become the industry standard. Now Kaplan is right back in the paving industry with the development of the FastMeasure Distance Measuring Device.
