JCB is the fifth largest manufacturer of construction equipment in the world. JCB is a privately owned family business, founded in England in 1945 by Joseph Cyril Bamford (Mr. JCB) and now run by his son, Sir Anthony Bamford. JCB today has 14 manufacturing plants on five continents, producing more than 185 different machines: compact equipment including skid steers and mini excavators; heavy duty excavators, wheel loaders and articulated dump trucks.

In January 2000, the first JCB “Made in the USA” backhoe loader was built in the company’s new 500,000 square-foot North American headquarters and manufacturing facility in Savannah, GA.
