intelliRock Automates Concrete Temperature Measurement on Baker Project

Case Studies
Printer-friendly version

Baker Concrete currently has two projects at the Miami International Airport and the adjacent Miami Intermodal Center with about 470 mass concrete placements, each requiring round-the-clock monitoring for up to 10 days and a data review every six hours. The manual data collection process for nearly 100 excavations and over 350 piers created significant safety issues and physical challenges. The intelliRock wireless monitoring system proved an attractive alternative to manually retrieving and recording data from over 100 probes on a 3-mile-long construction site. Baker realized an immediate ROI on the monitoring system through safer working conditions and substantial labor savings.
