The Ingersoll-Rand Road Institute announced the 2005-2006 asphalt paving class schedule. Courses are held in Chambersburg, Pa. and Phoenix, Ariz. Both facilities have a full course curriculum of two to five-day sessions. Courses begin in September 2005 and continue through May 2006. Twenty different courses are offered on topics ranging from the application, operation and maintenance of Ingersoll-Rand paving and compaction equipment, to mechanics training for Ingersoll-Rand ABG and Blaw-Knox pavers and Ingersoll-Rand compactors. Additional courses are offered for material transfer vehicles and road wideners.
In all of the courses, theory and practice are integrated throughout. Class sizes are set to allow for optimum instructor/student ratio, which provides for ease of learning, rewarding hands-on experiences, meaningful work and social interaction with other paving professionals. A certificate of attendance is awarded for all of those who successfully complete the training.
Courses are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Class size is limited to allow for break-out group and team learning. Tuition for two-day classes is $300. Three-day class tuition is $450 and four-day class tuition is $600. Tuition for five-day classes is $750. There is a 20% discount applied to all registrations for courses during the months of September through December when those registrations are received before Aug. 31, 2005.
