Avery Dennison Reflective Products Division, Niles, Ill., announced the release of its new Avery Dennison 80FO Series Fluorescent Orange Construction Work Zone Reflective Pavement Marker. The 80FO is the first marker designed to lead motorists through hazardous work zones by using the fluorescent color currently available for barrels and other work-zone signage. Motorists tend to pay more attention to pavement markings while navigating work zones, and the 80FO defines a brilliant color trail during the day and a reflective fluorescent signal at night.
The 80FO represents a new generation of raised pavement markers for both short- and long-term work zones. With initial specific index readings (SI) of 3.0, its improving lens and body materials virtually eliminate cracking and significantly improve signal life while minimizing SI loss.
