Demand for exhibit space is high for the ConExpo-Con/Agg international exposition for the construction and construction materials industries despite many consolidations and uncertain economic conditions that have lingered since industry professionals assembled at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2002. ConExpo-Con/Agg 2005 will be held March 15-19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
More than 540 exhibitors had reserved over 1.185 million net sq ft of exhibit space as of the Aug. 15 deadline for the show's first space assignment.
"Equipment manufacturers and industry service providers are still facing tough times, but demand for exhibit space has been extremely strong because our exhibitors remember that in similarly challenging economic conditions in 2002, more than 108,000 of their best customers attended ConExpo-Con/Agg and many brought their checkbooks and were ready to buy," said Brenton Cook, ConExpo-Con/Agg 2005 co-chair and central region president of Aggregate Industries Inc., Kalamazoo, Mich.
"Construction and construction materials industry professionals clearly recognize that ConExpo-Con/Agg 2005 is designed to meet their needs. Their industry's commitment to this event is already driving strong exhibit space sales," said Gerald Shaheen, ConExpo-Con/Agg 2005 co-chair and group president of Caterpillar Inc., Peoria, Ill.
