RentalPulse survey results show that many rental operators are experiencing higher revenues in 2003 than in 2002. They also foresee more positive business conditions and a slight jump in new equipment acquisition for 2004. RentelPulse conducted the online survey last week through its subscribers.
Slightly more than 59% of rental operators who responded to the survey report their business revenues are better this year than in 2002. About 28% said business was comparable to last year. Only 12% reported a drop in business.
More than 70% of respondents believe business conditions will improve in 2004, while almost 28% forecast similar conditions to 2003.
In terms of purchasing new equipment, almost 46% plan to buy about the same amount of equipment as last year and 41.5% report they will buy more in 2004.
