The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) announced the appointment of Alison Premo Black as executive director of the Metropolitan Washington Road & Transportation Builders Association. She will provide association management services for ARTBA's D.C. contractor chapter and participate in the ARTBA Council of State Executives.

Black first joined ARTBA in 2000. Black, who helped develop a partnering agreement between ARTBA and the National Association of Women in Construction, also serves as the ARTBA liaison to that group.

Black is currently pursuing a doctorate in economics at The George Washington University. Prior to joining ARTBA, Black served as an economic analyst and researcher for the Embassy of the Republic of Korea. She also worked as a researcher at the Organization of American States.
