The American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) announced the opening of its new Capitol Hill offices in Washington, D.C.
"This is another example of ATSSA's commitment to getting our industry's message before decision-makers, whether in Congress, within the Federal Highway Administration, or in the White House," said ATSSA Executive Director Roger Wentz.
The new offices, located at 209 Pennsylvania Ave., S.E., will support the organization's daily legislative activity, as well as numerous visits to lawmakers by ATSSA members. Two major member legislative events are planned for April and September.
"As we gear up for the next highway bill reauthorization, our presence at the center of policy making for our industry is critical," Wentz added. "Safety must remain front-of-mind as lawmakers consider roadway investment priorities. To ensure that it does, ATSSA must remain front and center in the day-to-day events that drive policy development."
