New work trucks and equipment rolling out at The Work Truck Show 2019

Jan. 16, 2019—More than 100 companies have already announced plans to introduce new work trucks and equipment at Work Truck Week 2019. The Work Truck Show, North America’s largest work truck event, runs March 5–8 at Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Ind. Educational sessions, Green Truck Summit, Fleet Technical Congress and Manufacturer and Distributor Innovation Conference begin March 5, and the exhibit hall is open March 6–8. To help attendees plan which booths to visit, 90 exhibitors are showcasing new products online in advance of the event as part of The Work Truck Show’s exclusive New Product Spotlight and Green Product Showcase programs. Offerings range from transmissions and suspensions to trucks and bodies. They include a variety of innovative power solutions, cargo management systems and vocational equipment from snowplows to cranes. Genie Lift Pro training courses updated to meet ANSI requirements

Jan. 11, 2019—The new ANSI A92.22 standards for Safe Use and ANSI A92.24 standards for Training published on December 10, 2018, and everyone must be fully in compliance within one year. To help equipment owners and operators be in compliance by December 10, 2019, Genie has updated its operator training programs to meet the requirements in the new standards: Genie Lift Pro Online Operator Training Program; Genie Lift Pro Train the Trainer courses; and Genie Lift Pro classroom-based operator training courses.

Construction industry accounts for over 70% volume share in excavator market

Jan. 8, 2019—Excavators are commonly used in a wide range of sectors including construction, mining, agriculture and forestry. However, according to the Fact.MR report, the construction industry is expected to hold the largest volume share—approximately 72%—by the end of 2019. Manufacturers in the excavator market are focusing on introducing performance features that will suit the requirements of end-users from the construction industry to capitalize on the increasing demand for excavators as a construction equipment. Excavator market players are upgrading the design of excavators by incorporating advanced technologies to offer improved efficiency, which can help end-users to increase productivity and operators’ safety.

Allen Engineering promotes Kyle Baker to National Sales Manager

Jan. 7, 2019—Allen Engineering Corp. recently announced that Kyle Baker has been promoted to National Sales Manager for all sales operations in the U.S. and Canada. Baker has more than 15 years of experience in the construction equipment industry. Baker started his career in equipment sales working for some of Allen’s largest dealers in Texas. He has very successfully served Allen as a territory sales representative since joining the company in 2014. In his new position, Baker will be responsible for managing, training and recruiting all the Allen direct sales personnel as well as the independent sales representatives that sell Allen Equipment in the U.S. and Canada. Baker also will be AEC’s main point of contact for all field sales operations for dealer, national and rental accounts promotions, activities and events.
