Woolpert LLP, Columbus, Ohio, was recently awarded an outstanding achievement award by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Ohio for its work on the Ohio Rte. 16 freeway project.
Located in Licking and Muskingum Counties, Ohio, the award-winning project combined the completion of environmental studies and design (record time), a significant partnership between the Ohio Department of Transportation and The Longaberger Co. as well as a final cost that was more than $12 million below ODOT's estimate.
The 13-mile, four-lane divided project included three interchanges, seven grade separation bridges and two stream crossing bridges.
