Building Information Modeling (BIM) is an important aspect of all types of infrastructure projects, bridges included. As a result, the next generation of Bentley’s bridge modeling software is purpose-built to support the standards and processes demanded by the designers and contractors who create, construct, maintain, and document bridges of all sizes and complexity. Technology should provide engineers with the ability to create a workflow that promotes true bridge information mobility. Stakeholders from all disciplines need to evaluate and share critical data from the planning and bidding phase, all the way through to commissioning, operations and maintenance.
This webinar explores some of the challenges working in this complex sector presents, as well as provides an overview of Bentley’s software solution for bridges, including the recently released OpenBridge Modeler - the key to today’s design build projects, P3 and accelerated bridge construction. Bentley’s next generation of bridge modeling software is purpose-built for the designers and contractors who create, construct, maintain, and document bridges of all sizes and complexity.
This is where vision meets reality, so join Bentley’s bridge experts Barbara Day, P.E. and Jean-Pierre Chanard as they reveal the future of bridge design and engineering. Discover how the latest bridge software innovations can help you increase quality, improve safety, advance collaboration, test constructability, mitigate risk and deliver smarter assets.

Jean-Pierre Chanard, Ingénieur ECP Senior Application Engineer, Bridge – Bentley
Jean-Pierre has over 30 years of experience in bridge design, civil engineering and software development. After graduating from Ecole Centrale de Paris, he started working in the bridge design department of CAMPENON BERNARD. Jean-Pierre’s experience ranges from his early days as a CAD designer to a Bridge and Structural Design Engineer. Jean-Pierre is now a Senior Application Engineer for Bridges at Bentley and has been with the company for 18 years.
Barbara Day, P.E. – Director, Bridge – Bentley
Barbara has over 30 years of experience in civil and transportation design, engineering, software development. She is a graduate of North Carolina State University and a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina. Barbara worked with the North Carolina Department of Transportation as a Roadway Design and Project Engineer. Since this time, she has worked with providing software, support and services of transportation engineering software at Bentley in multiple areas (certification, specifications, marketing, professional services, and sales).
