According to manufacturer Trident Security Devices Inc., Elkins Park, Pa., The Roadguard/2 (Circle 909) is the first portable Jersey-style barrier to be manufactured by the blow-molding process, using high-density polyethylene plastic.

The Roadguard/2 is an 80-lb barrier that is easier to handle and deploy. The barrier is double-chambered and is 6 ft long, 3½ ft high, 2 ft wide at the bottom and 10 in. wide at the top. The double chamber provides two vertical walls in the center of the barrier, delivering added strength and stability. When filled with water, the barrier weighs 1,600 lb.

Some advanced features of the Roadguard/2 include two handgrips at each end of the barrier, two fill holes at the top of the barrier and four drain plugs. In addition, RoadGuard/2 has slots and channels built into the barrier, which allow for panels, screens, signs, fencing and flashers to be added to the barrier.
