    A bigger family

    Caterpillar has launched several additions to both its D and E series lines of paving equipment. D Series additions include the AP600D and AP655D. The former is designed for medium-size paving jobs and can be fitted to Cat’s AS2252C screed or AS3251C screed with CANbus technology; the latter is meant for medium- to high-production-size paving jobs, utilizing the Mobil-trac undercarriage for better traction and higher traveling speeds on-site. In the E Series comes the AP255E, AP500E, AP555E, AP1000E and AP1055E. These models offer high production and increased fuel efficiency.
