    The North American winners of the 22nd Volvo International Service Technical Association (VISTA) competition were chosen recent

    The North American winners of the 22nd Volvo International Service Technical Association (VISTA) competition were chosen recently at Volvo Trucks North America Inc.'s North American Institute in Greensboro, N.C. VISTA is a hands-on competition to select the top service and parts personnel from the Volvo Trucks dealer network. Hundreds compete in the six-month program, which requires a significant dedication of time and effort by the participants.

    This year's winners are:

    * U.S.--Wayne Thorne, Ken Lund and Kara Holladay of Mountain West Truck Center, Saint George, Utah;

    * Canada--Benoit Raby, Mario Labrecque and Daniel Blais of Pare Centre Du Camion Volvo in Levis, Quebec; and

    * Mexico--Ruben Fragoso, Benigno and Armando Navarro representing Tractoremolques del Noroeste, S.A. de C.V.

    After three rounds of written questions, the top four VISTA teams from the U.S. and the top two from Canada were invited to the finals in Greensboro. During the final competition, teams had to troubleshoot trucks with several planted faults. In addition, they also answered another series of written questions and participated in Technical Forums.
