Dave Newcomb, P.E., Ph.D.:

Dave is Vice President - Research and Technology at the National Asphalt Pavement Association and will take questions on the topics of materials/mix design and pavement design.

Prior to joining NAPA in 1999, Dr. Newcomb taught at the University of Minnesota and University of Nevada-Reno. He was formerly the Technical Director for the Minnesota Road Research Project (MnRoad). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Washington and his BS and MS degrees from Texas A&M University.

Kent Hansen, P.E.:

Kent is Director of Engineering at the National Asphalt Pavement Association and will take questions on the topics of porous asphalt and life cycle cost analysis.

Hansen joined NAPA in 1995 and is responsible for NAPA's training programs. In addition he works with contractors, agencies, and consultants to continually improve the design, construction, and performance of HMA. He received his BS degree at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Jim Huddleston, P.E.:

Jim is the Executive Director of the Asphalt Pavement Association of Oregon and will take questions on the topics of Perpetual Pavement and Structural design.

Huddleston joined APAO in 1993. He was formerly Pavements Engineers in charge of pavement design and management for the Oregon DOT. He has served on the AASHTO Pavements Task Force and many TRB committees. He received his BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University.
