Upcoming Ohio DOT Road and Bridge Projects in Wood County to Affect Traffic

June 6, 2023
The projects will affect highways and streets in Wood County starting next week

Several Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) road and bridge construction projects will affect highways in Wood County next week starting June 12.

There is one continuing impact on Ohio 25 between Cygnet Road and U.S. 6, Bowling Green/Portage where traffic is now switched to the northbound lanes to allow for southbound lane reconstruction.

The provided detour for the project is I-75 to U.S. 6.

A few upcoming projects ODOT wants drivers to be aware of are:

  • Route 25 between Powell Road and the north corporation line of the Village of Portage – this project will begin Friday, June 9 and entail a full closure; traffic cannot pass in either direction. Traffic will be detourted to Route 6, Interstate 75, or Ohio 235.
  • Lime City Road of I-75 Rossford – This street is reduced to one lane after a over-height bridge struck and damaged the bridge. This traffic pattern will be maintained for several months.
  • Route 18, between Bloomdale and Hancock County line, and in Bloomdale – This area will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing work through June.
  • Ohio 64 Wooster Street, from I-75 to Mercer Road, Bowling Green – Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction for construction. Work will continue until late Summer.
